Bubinga veneer is a native species of West Africa. Its color is anything from a pink to a vivid red to reddish-brown all accompanied by purple stripes or veining. The grain is straight to interlocked with a moderately coarse grain. Often times the straight grained logs of this wood are sold as Bubinga and the more interlocked products are veneered and sent out under the name of Kevazingo. Bubinga overall is a very hard wood with some gum to it and a very nice look.
