Book Match
Adjacent pieces if veneer from a flitch are opened like a book and spliced together to make a face with matching occurring at the splice joint. This does create a characteristic light and dark effect when seen from an angle. (Called cell polarization or barber polling effect)

Balance Match
Two or more veneer leaves of equal size to make up a single face.

Center Match
An even number of veneer leaves of equal size matched with a joint in the center of the face to achieve horizontal symmetry.

Slip matched
A leave from a flitch is slid across the leave beneath and, without turning, spliced at the joint. Typically slip matched with tight side out for a better finish and, no light and dark like the barber polling effect.

Sequence match
Can either be Book or Slip Matched using running or balance match. This is where the flitch of veneer is used in sequence numbers to create similar grain, color and pattern with in the log.

Sketched faces are also available like, Starbursts, diamond matched, reverse diamond match, Box matched and several others.

Random match is used on species like rustic or Knotty for a random look.

10ml – 2 x, 3 x, 4 x 8’&10’
20ml – same as above but add 12’ long
30ml – same as 20ml
Poly same as 20ml
WOW – 2 x, 3 x, 4 x 8’ & 10

Also available – 5 x 8’ & 10’
